Description of Services: Nurses provide a variety of confidential sexual health services which includes:

  • testing and/or treatment of sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections
  • sexual health information and counselling
  • birth control counselling and referral for prescription
  • low-cost birth control/free condoms
  • pregnancy testing and counselling
  • pregnancy referrals for terminations and prenatal care
  • family planning services
  • emergency birth control (morning after pill)
  • some vaccines
  • cervical screening or referrals to screening for people with provider or in offices where Health Unit not providing services
  • Requirements
    Fees: Free testing and treatment of sexual transmitted infections, birth control available for free or at low cost
