Description of Services: Community Mental Health Counsellors (CMHC) in the Mental Health and Justice stream work with individuals who are:

  • homeless or at risk of homelessness
  • have come in conflict with the law (low-to-moderate risk offence)
  • have mental health and/or addictions challenges

Clients benefit from help with:

  • specialized support to reduce involvement with Criminal Justice System
  • emotional regulation
  • risk assessment
  • access to community resources
